You will explore the vast savannah landscape, culture and wildlife, bird watching, hiking, Beaches, music and dance, and many more interesting activities. You will also visit eco-destinations where life is still very close to nature. You will have photo opportunities during sightings of wildlife animals like the African elephants, Antelopes, History, Culture, Beaches, and music and dance spread over the 9 days.


Itinerary

Day 1: Accra- Bolgatanga – Sirigu – Paga

Depart Accra on a 50 minutes flight to Tamale where you will be met by a driver/guide who will drive you straight to Bolgatanga where you will check-in into your comfortable accommodation.

You will then drive straight on a 34 km road to Sirigu. Sirigu is known throughout Ghanaian history for its pottery, basket weaving and unique symbolic wall decorations. You will get a guided tour of traditional homes belonging to members of Sirigu Women Organisation for Pottery and Art (SWOPA). You will also have the opportunity to meet with (SWOPA) women at the gallery. After Sirigu, you will depart to Paga, a place where crocodiles are part of the daily lives of the people. It is believed that these crocodiles carry the souls of the people in the community. After a long day, you will settle into your hotel, have dinner and rest for the next days’ activities. Day 2: Bolga – Mole National Park 

This morning after breakfast, you will leave Bolga for Mole National Park on a long drive, a stop in Tamale city for lunch and a tour of the city. You may do a tour of the Larabanga Mosque depending on the time of arrival. Finally, you will check-in to your room at the Mole Motel, enjoy pool time and make some time to track the sunset from the stunning location from the hotel viewpoint. Overnight: Mole National Park

Day 3: Mole National Park

This morning, you will wake up early for the morning walking safari which starts about 6:30 AM where you will have the chance to see elephants, baboons, buffaloes, warthogs, antelope and the over 316 species of birds in the park. Later today, you will visit the Mognori Eco-Village where you will have a village guided walk and a canoe safari on the Mole River, come back early enough for the jeep safari drive. Day 4: Mole National Park – Kintampo Waterfalls – Boabeng Fiema

You will depart your hotel around 8:00 am and drive to Kintampo. At Kintampo, you will hike down to the waterfalls, you will descend about 120 steps down to get to the falls where you will see the beautiful water splashing down.

After a good lunch, your tour continues from Kintampo Waterfalls to Boabeng Fiema. You will do a tour at the Boabeng Fiema Monkey Sanctuary, where monkeys live and are treated as sacred. If you are not afraid, you can pet them with a banana. Finally, you will drive to Techiman and stay for the night. Overnight: Techiman

 Day 5: Techiman- Kumasi

Today, you will leave Techiman after your breakfast and drive to Kumasi. In Kumasi, you will visit the Kejetia Market, the largest open market in West Africa, where people from all over Ghana, Ivory Coast, Togo, and other neighboring countries come to buy and sell.

Your next stop will be a visit to the Royal King Palace of the Ashanti Kingdom. At the palace, your guide will explain in details the history of the people of the Ashantis. This evening, you will do a final stop at the National Culture Center where various cultural and traditional items are displayed and sold. Overnight: Kumasi

Day 6: Kumasi – Cape Coast

You will depart your hotel in Kumasi for about 4 hours drive to Cape Coast. You will visit and tour the U.N. World Heritage Site of Cape Coast Castle, where your castle guide will explain the history of the castle to you. If you still have time, you will visit the Fort Williams Lighthouse and watch the beautiful sunset over Cape Coast. Overnight: Cape Coast

Day 7: Cape Coast – Kakum- Beach Time

This morning you will leave for Kakum National Park. At the park, you will do the canopy walkway and a nature tour in the forest where your guide will teach you the economic, cultural, and medicinal values of the plants in the forest.

 

After several days of long drive and walking, you have earned some time on the beach. You have the chance to relax and talk with your guide about other interesting activities around the area. Overnight: Cape Coast

Day 8: Kokrobite, Fishing Community

This morning, you will depart for Kokrobite Beach Village and settle into your beachside accommodation. Food, music, crafts, live bands on weekends. Kokrobite special beach celebration with drumming and dancing.

Later this afternoon, your guide will take you to a nearby village to watch how the fishermen prepare their nets and catch their fishes. Overnight: Kokrobite

Day 9: Kokrobite- Accra – Departure

Today, you will have some time to spend at the beach in the morning and later depart for Accra, get lunch at Osu, visit the Independence Square, the art market in Accra where you will have the opportunity to buy souvenirs for friends and family. In the Evening today, your driver/guide will safely drop you off at the airport 2 hours before your evening flight. Overnight: Airplane
